Greetings from San Francisco, where Ellie proudly learned to sail the waves as a dedicated sailboat racer. For her, sailing is not just a career; it's a way of life. Whenever she finds herself on the water, you can count on her to embrace an aggressive racing style while relentlessly chasing victories. Ellie's sailing journey began at the Estuary of Encinal Yacht Club when she was just nine years old. It was there that she discovered sailing as its own captivating world, fusing athleticism with the mental acuity required to excel in competitive racing. As she transitioned into her teenage years, her passion for racing intensified, leading her from local regattas to national competitions.

Throughout her youth, Ellie had the privilege of competing in events such as the Orange Bowl, C420 Midwinters, Ida Lewis Championships, and the Leiter Cup Championships. Each of these experiences helped her grow as a sailor and a competitor, culminating in recognition such as the Most Consistent Sailor of the Year award in 2010 and the Sportsmanship Award at the Ida Lewis Championships in 2009. These accolades motivated her to elevate her sailing skills and deepen her understanding of the sport, as she learned valuable lessons both on and off the water.

Ellie continues to expand her sailing expertise beyond the 49er FX, regularly competing on larger keelboats where she refines her skills as both a crew member and tactician. Her experience on these vessels allows her to develop a deeper understanding of teamwork, strategy, and boat handling in a variety of conditions. Often sailing with all-female teams, Ellie embraces the collaborative spirit of competitive sailing while honing her decision-making abilities under pressure. Her adaptability across different classes of boats highlights her dedication to mastering the sport and pushing her limits as a sailor.

The thrill of being on the trapeze, feeling the power of the wind and the control of the boat, is nothing short of exhilarating for Ellie. Her transition to the 49er FX has allowed her to fully embrace a mindful connection between her physical capabilities and mental focus. Each race presents an opportunity for her to push her limits while connecting deeply with both her crew and the elements. As she continues to pursue excellence in sailing, Ellie remains grateful for every moment spent on the water, fully aware that this lifestyle is an intersection of passion, perseverance, and the relentless pursuit of victory.

Empower Growth

As the sails rest, I transition into a different realm. Beyond the racetrack, I'm a firm believer in the beauty of simplicity. I may be a fierce competitor, but on land I'm a mellow soul.  I'm on a mission to inspire the next generation, to be a shining example of what's possible through hard work, dedication and commitment. I've discovered in life, that winning is fun, but its the legacy people remember when you leave the boat park. Sailing to me is about promoting the joy of physical activity and instilling the values of respect, sportsmanship, and teamwork. So as you explore my journey, remember that it's not just about the races won, but the stories behind each triumph and lessons learned from every challenge. Join me on this incredible adventure and together we'll build a legacy.
